Just like a precious cut diamond, South Africa is one of the world’s most beautiful countries. Its tourism slogan is a ‘world in one country’ and with soaring rugged mountains, luxuriant Winelands, arid dramatic desert vistas, natural bush land, vibrant cosmopolitan cities and beautifully deserted beaches you can see why they make this bold claim!
With a generous climate coupled with South Africa’s transformation from apartheid to peaceful democracy, South Africa is a country rich in culture and heritage, a real tribute to its extraordinary people.

Cape Town
With its colonial and Cape Dutch architecture, cobblestone streets and sidewalk cafes creates a cosmopolitan atmosphere, whilst the newer development of Victoria & Albert Waterfront is home to any array of trendy bars, restaurants and boutiques. No visit to Cape Town is complete without a cable car ride to the summit of the Table Mountain, a visit to the nearby beaches and local markets, and a ferry journey to Robben Island to see the prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners once spent 27 years in captivity. Other attractions include the world renowned Kristenbosch National Botanical Gardens, which are home to 9,000 South Africa plant species, located on the slopes of Table Mountain.
The Winelands
The heart of the winelands lies around the historic towns of Paarl, Fanschhoek and Stellenbosch, but also extends to Hermanus and Tulbagh. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty with small hotels and inns offering high standards and the opportunity of sampling local wines, brandies and liqueurs.

The Garden Route
Between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth is known as the ‘garden route’ and is a must-see for visitors. The garden route offers a journey through ever-changing scenery with open farmland, mountains, indigenous forests, lakes, meandering rivers and golden beaches. Malaria free game viewing is also available in the Port Elizabeth area with Shamwari the most famous game viewing lodge in the area. Whale watching opportunities are popular in Hermanus and the brave may also try cage diving with sharks!
